Since then he played an extensive role in exponential growth of Eastern Europe organization as well as in execution of e-commerce in EE, incorporation of Gant in Poland, and Lacoste in Slovakia. Previously he worked as a Financial Controller for 6 years at Siemens Turkey, and for more than a year, as a Financial Controlling and Reporting Director at Gant/Lacoste/Eren Holding in Turkey.

He is a CPA, and holding bachelor degrees in Industrial & Operations Engineering, and Economics from University of Michigan – Ann Arbor - USA, and a masters in Business Administration from Marmara University – Turkey.

As Group Finance Operations Manager for Google’s International Controllership, Michalis is responsible for leading the “backbone” of Google’s finance operations, its services centres, for the areas of EMEA, APAC and LATAM. He is responsible for the financial compliance of the company in these regions. In addition, Michalis is leading the transformation and strategy of these centres and he is acting as Google’s relationship manager for EMEA with its major advisory partners. Prior to Google, Michalis spent fours years with Microsoft. From 2017 to 2019, Michalis held the role of Area Senior Finance Manager for Western Europe and Ireland. He supervised all accounting, tax, treasury and compliance activities for the region and acted as main advisor to business leadership partnering in strategic decision making. As part of this role, he also played a key part in the finance transformation of the EMEA organization. From 2015 to 2017, Michalis held the role of Internal Audit Manager where he had the responsibility for the audit execution, planning and development of the EMEA Internal Audit team. Michalis started his career in 2011 with Procter & Gamble where from 2011 to 2013 he worked as Internal Auditor and from 2013 to 2015 as Finance Manager for Supply Chain and Capex responsible for Western Europe. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Piraeus and a Master of Science Degree in Economic Policy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He currently resides in Dublin with his family, he has lived in five countries and he is an avid sports competitor.

Kyriacos Kokkinos is the Deputy Minister to the President for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, since March 1st 2020. He previously served as Chief Scientist for Research & Innovation of the Republic of Cyprus, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Research & Innovation Foundation and Member of the National Board of Research & Innovation.

He is a distinguished professional with 30 years of experience in Executive Management, Technology and Business Consulting, served at senior Executive roles in global corporations such as IBM Europe (Executive Director & Partner) and PwC. He also served at the Board of Directors of many Organisations, including Invest Cyprus (Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency - CIPA), the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO), the Cyprus Ports Authority (CPA), and the Board of Trustees of the Cyprus Institute.

 

He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for professional excellence, including the ‘Business Leader of the Year Award’ 2016, by Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and the ‘Quality Leader Award 2015’ by Cyprus Quality Association.

 

His Academic qualifications include Executive MBA in Strategic Management from Henley Management College (UK) and MSc & BSc in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology (USA).”

Within PwC she is a trainer for the Data Analytics Innovation Academy. She is involved in science and technology communication and is a TEDx speaker.  Christina holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Oxford in the UK.

A business professional with over 35 years of experience at PwC. He has been leading the Finance Function for almost 30 years and the Operations function for the last 3 years contributing significantly to its digital transformation.


During his career, he has been leading various projects including amongst others, Mergers and Acquisitions, major ERP implementations and Digital Transformation projects. He believes that a modern CFO must take full advantage of the technology and transform the operating model of the finance function starting from the data collection process to the issue and distribution of information to the stakeholders. He is a fellow member of the ACCA and member of the ICPAC since 1995. He is a member of the Management Board of PwC Cyprus and the Vice Chairman of the CFO committee of ICPAC.
