Kyriakos Iordanou
General Manager at Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus
Kyriakos Iordanou is the General Manager of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) since January 2012. He has been actively involved with the Institute for many years, serving as a Council member between 2002 to 2011, and holding the position of the Vice President for the period 2009-2011. Kyriakos’ professional career began in January 1995 in the banking sector and spanned as financial controller in public and private companies, as well as financial and business advisor to firms in Cyprus and abroad until 2004. He then worked for the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus, initially as the chief accountant and then as the internal auditor from 2004 until the end of 2011. He also served as a council member of the Cyprus Institute of Internal Auditors (2006-2011). Kyriakos qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1997 and is now a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Kyriakos is a member of ICPAC and qualified as an ACCA in 1997 and is a Fellow since 2002. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CPFA) and a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS). In addition, he is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM). Kyriakos is a holder of a Master’s in Business Administration degree (MBA).
Dr. George Theocharides
Chairman at Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC)
Dr. George Theocharides (BΕng (Hons), MBA, PhD) is the Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). He has served as CySEC’s Vice Chairman between July 2020 – September 2021and was previously a CySEC Board member. As Associate Professor of Finance at the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) and Director of the MSc in its Financial Services Programme from September 2010 until July 2020, he has extensive professional experience in the financial sector. Prior, he worked as Assistant Professor of Finance at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, from 2006 until 2010. In 2006, he also worked as an International Faculty Fellow at the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Previously, he served as a member of the Bank of Cyprus Interim Board and Board Chairman of Cyprus Blockchain Technologies Ltd, among others.

Malcolm joined JM from Vodafone Group plc where he was Head of Group Reporting overseeing the consolidation, reporting and accounting, treasury finance and financial systems. Georgia Paphiti

Started my career as an auditor in Cyprus with PwC, where I qualified as an FCCA and later in 2001 the CFO for UBS in Cyprus with additional responsibilities for finance teams in the Middle East.
Moved to Luxembourg in 2014 as CFO of UBS in the Benelux region and since 2016 CFO of UBS Europe SE, the European Headquarter of UBS in Germany.

Georgia Pitta

Georgia has held to position of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of ECOMMBX Ltd since 2017, directly reporting to the Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director.
As a founding member of the company’s senior management, she actively participated in the digitization genesis of the company. She also set up the company’s accounting and finance departments, as well as the management Risk Committee, and Investment Committee, and is a member of all.

She joined ECOMMBX as the Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer on April 1st, 2021 after being with PwC Cyprus for a total of 15 years. Constantinos Herodotou
Governor at Central Bank of Cyprus; Member at European Central Bank
Constantinos Herodotou is the Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) and a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank. Previously he served as Executive Director at the CBC’s Board of Directors (2017-2019). He also held the position of the Commissioner of Privatisations in Cyprus (2014-2017).
Before moving to Cyprus in 2014, most of his career was in investment banking at UBS Investment Bank in London, where he rose through the ranks to head concurrently two sectors: Head of Shipping for Europe, Middle East and Africa and simultaneously Infrastructure & Project Concessions Advisory & Financing for Central & Eastern Europe. He has advised governments and global conglomerates on major financial transactions and strategy, totaling a value of over €50 billion. His experience includes among others, mergers and acquisitions, structuring and financing project concessions, listing companies on stock exchanges (NASDAQ and NYSE), structuring and raising equity and debt, corporate and financial restructurings and heading complex negotiations.

Pieris Markou is the CEO of Deloitte Cyprus and a member of the Deloitte Middle East Executive Board, having previously served as the Tax & Legal Services Leader. He started his career in London in 1986 and was admitted to Partnership in Chrysanthou and Christoforou (Andersen) in 2000. He is currently the President of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and a member of the ICPAC Council since 2014 having previously assumed many professional roles within ICPAC, including Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Tax and VAT Committees. Pieris is also a board member of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Accounting, is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Celine has graduated from both Grenoble School of Management in France and the Southern Illinois University Graduate School, in the USA. She has worked in auditing, banking, consulting, distribution, retail and advertising in both Europe and Middle East. Her wealth of experience across different industries and her interaction with various cultures helps her capture more easily the needs of potential clients as well as identify business opportunities.
Today, she is learning and sharing her knowledge about the role that technology plays in fighting financial crime.
Sergio M. Zunino
Global Accounting Integration Manager at Bayer AG
After his time as an officer in the German Armed Forces, Mr. Zunino dedicated himself to Bayer for 30 years and worked on assignments in the US, Spain, South America and at the headquarters in Germany. During this time he was given increasing responsibilities, for example as CFO & CAO in South America or as Global Group Process Owner for Sales and Revenue Accounting. Through these tasks, he gained cross-functional knowledge of processes with regard to their cultural and local requirements, but also taking into account the overarching company needs. Mr. Zunino is currently leading the global integration of Bayer-Monsanto Accounting, excluding the US and Canada.
