Smita Gupta

Global Head of Platform, Apps & Marketplaces Marketing at Finastra 

 

Smita is a Global Marketing Executive recognized for transforming organizations into future power houses for sustained relevance and growth in the Fintech, software, and telecoms industries. Smita leads Finastra’s global platform ecosystem, applications and marketplaces marketing function. She created a commercially driven, diverse global marketing organisation focused on innovation, go-tomarket strategies, partnerships, revenue generation and growth. Prior to this, Smita was Global Head of Partners and Ecosystem Marketing, responsible for supporting and driving strategic alliances with fintechs, developers, system integrators, resellers and channel sellers around the world. She has also been Chief Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific at Finastra, where she drove the company’s visibility, sales performance and revenue generation across the region. Smita led the creation of a strategic marketing function from the ground up lifting the APAC business to top position globally for new license revenue. Smita joined Finastra from Tata Communications, where her role was Head of Strategy and Marketing for Asia Pacific. At Tata, Smita led APAC go-to-market strategy and launched ROIdriven demand generation programs, ultimately catapulting the brand to “Leader” position in Gartner’s 2015 Magic Quadrant for Network Services, Global. A marketing and technology evangelist, Smita champions the use of innovative technology in financial services, strategic collaboration within ecosystems, as well as the creation of diverse and inclusive workplaces. Smita was recently nominated as the ‘Businesswoman of the Year’ in Asia and has won the ‘Global Super Woman Achiever Award’ from the Global HRD Congress. She was appointed to the Asia Pacific Advisory Board of the CMO Council in 2012. Smita graduated with an MBA from Ohio University, USA and a Bachelor of Economics from Delhi University, India. Marius Nedelcu

Marius has had an unconventional journey to becoming a marketing and brand strategist. After a successful music career in his native Romania, Marius spent 15 years in the health and fitness industry, managing country-wide marketing operations and brand development.

 

Now, as the CMO for TransferGo, an international money transfer service that specialises in migrant remittances, Marius relies on his diverse marketing experience to guide the organisation’s sales and marketing efforts across complex international markets. As a migrant himself, Marius is passionate about developing creative PR, social, out of home advertising and direct marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness amongst a dispersed customer base and against the backdrop of rising anti-migration sentiment.

I am an entrepreneur with vast experience in establishing companies from scratch and a senior executive with over 20 years of experience in various companies in different sectors and segments (B2C, B2B). I am also one of the 3 women co-founders of G-CMO, a community of Israel's leading CMOs from global companies and the EBM community: Employer Brand Marketing in Israel.

 

In 2012 I Co-Founded and acted as CMO @ Join Digital Talent Agency, a successful recruiting agency for digital marketing positions.

 

Before that, I was the CEO of the company I started to work for as the first team member: Nirshamim Ltd. A lead generation platform for higher education institutes. The company was the first of its kind and was very successful. We were bought out by the largest media group in Israel at the time: Internet Gold.

 

I am an active advocate for women’s rights and preserve the memories of holocaust survivors, all of whom will disappear from the world in a few years. I have also mentored many young women and will continue to do so in the coming years.

 

I was awarded “top 100 influencers in digital” at 2017.

Victor Efthimiades

As Executive Director, Victor Efthimiades leads strategy formulation and international business development.

Victor has a 30-year tenure in strategic marketing, business development and enterprise software engineering, of which 20 years in Axiom’s leadership position, where he has delivered consistent growth and profitability.  Victor’s professional skills cover a wide range of management, marketing and information technology practices, from the design of the general company strategy, to strategic marketing plans, to sophisticated loyalty business models for industry verticals, including retail, banking and travel.  Victor has put particular emphasis on strategic business intelligence and customer loyalty management for large organizations, with an impressive portfolio of successful international engagements at leading banking institutions and retailers.

Prior to joining Axiom Consulting, Victor worked in engineering and account management positions at IBM Corporation, where he designed and led the implementation of multiple large-scale projects, including the development of the country’s first and largest customer loyalty programs. 

 

Victor holds a Masters degree in Computers & Software Engineering from the National Metsovio Technical University of Athens and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Sheffield.  He is also the recipient of numerous professional certifications, including one from IBM’s Advanced Marketing Institute.
